Coach Deandra Haggray

Coach Dee Haggray comes to SFS with a wealth of Basketball experience, as a player, a coach, and a trainer. She has played the sport of basketball from the 3rd grade to the college level. She was an extremely versatile player who possessed a high basketball IQ with superior shooting and ball handling skills. She was an all-city point guard and a four-year starter at Douglas MacArthur High School (San Antonio, TX). She played for the “highly touted” original Lady Rohawks AAU team that produced more than seven D-1 players. After high school she played at Texas Lutheran University (Sequin, TX) until injuries sidelined her and helped her find her true passion for helping kids achieve their dreams on and off the court. Coach Dee went on to attend the University of Texas (San Antonio) where she graduated with a degree in Biology. Overall her experience extends for over 7 years as a coach and skills trainer. She has coached AAU basketball competitively for over 3 years with the San Antonio Lady Rohawks/ UBAVE and San Antonio Crossover.  In her training endeavors she offers both individual and group training and has helped many student athletes to reach their goals at the high school and collegiate levels. She has an uncanny ability to train and coach high school and collegiate level players to their full potential, but the patience and kindness to work with kids as young as the age of 5. Coach Dee spends the bulk of time training on the basic fundamentals of basketball with a heavy focus on ball handling and the proper scoring techniques. Client’s can expect a variety of different drills and exercises based on their needs and thirst to become a better basketball player. Her philosophy is “to strengthen the player’s basic basketball fundamentals while increasing their basketball IQ making them into a more lethal basketball player”.
